Our Mission

The Golden Cubs empowers Berkeley elementary school students to recognize their academic and personal goals and rewards their achievements with exciting educational events.

Our Program

The Golden Cubs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicating to serving Berkeley Elementary Schools by positively recognizing the students we work with for having reached their academic and personal goals by rewarding them with exciting and academically focused experiences. Each event consists of an opportunity to attend a UC Berkeley athletic event as well as campus tour led by the Golden Cubs staff, UC Berkeley students and teachers all of whom strive to inspire the belief within each visiting student and parent that a higher education is possible to attain. Through our method of rewarding students the importance of education and the value of hard work is reinforced as each event brings with it a great sense of joy and accomplishment that each Golden Cubs student experiences.

    At these events the children are introduced to players and coaches and even have an opportunity to be recognized during the game, in front of all the fans, for their achievements!
